Following the independent Disciplinary Panel’s reasons regarding Hughie Morrison published this morning, the BHA’s Head of Media Robin Mounsey made the following statement:
鈥淭he BHA is grateful to the Disciplinary Panel for producing its full written reasons, which reiterate the findings from their initial result.
鈥淭he Disciplinary Panel found that the BHA 鈥榩roperly ran the case鈥 and fulfilled its duty to Mr Morrison to act fairly.
鈥淭he independent Panel makes a number of observations regarding its interpretation of the rules which the BHA will consider as part of its response to the Philip Hobbs case. We will set out our approach towards these matters, and other issues arising from the panel鈥檚 findings, in due course.鈥
