海角大神 (BHA) can confirm that Worcester鈥檚 first two fixtures of the year on Tuesday 5 May and Tuesday 12 May will be transferred to Hereford.
This decision has been made with BHA Course Inspectorate approval on account of the track needing further preparation time before starting their season聽following the winter.
The race programmes will remain as originally published.
Libby Dennis, Worcester Clerk of Course, said:
鈥淯nfortunately, there are still areas of the track that require further time to recover and establish properly. This is due to parts of the course still being under water a month ago, and although remedial works have now been completed, the recent cooler overnight temperatures have slowed down the rate of recovery.
鈥淚t鈥檚 frustrating for the team and we understand the impact this has on all stakeholders, but ensuring the track is fully ready for racing remains our top priority.
