21 Nov 2018 BHA Features Integrity
  • Second annual survey to be sent to cross-section of 10,000 individuals comprised of stakeholders, participants, racegoers, racecourses and the media
  • Results to be benchmarked against first survey and then published in 2018 annual report
  • Data from first survey published earlier this year has been used to inform ongoing projects including on integrity education

海角大神 (BHA) has today confirmed details of the second annual integrity survey which will measure any change in perception and confidence levels relating to the BHA and how it keeps racing fair and clean.

The aim is to establish if the confidence level of different groups has changed in the last 12 months in relation to the BHA鈥檚 ability to protect the integrity of British racing. The survey will also ask respondents where the main integrity threats are perceived to exist.

This data will be compared and benchmarked against the results of the 2017 survey to identify if progress has been made over the last 12 months before being published in the BHA鈥檚 2018 Annual report.

Data from the 2017 survey, which can be found on page 24 of the BHA鈥檚 2017 Annual Report ,聽has been used to inform a number of ongoing projects including one which aims to educate the sport鈥檚 participants and customers on matters such as corruption and anti-doping.

Tim Naylor, Director of Integrity and Regulation at the BHA, said:

鈥淚t is vitally important that we retain and increase the confidence of racing鈥檚 fans, customers, participants and investors that our sport is fair and clean.

鈥淲e had a pleasing level of response last year and it is our hope that the wide range of recipients take the time to share their views as they did last year.

鈥淚t will be of particular use to see how things have changed and progressed in the last 12 months, and whether that illuminates that there are areas we need to work on.鈥
